Gunstar Heroes - arguably one of the best games released for SEGA's 16-bit Mega Drive - and Outland are now available on Xbox One backward compatibility, Microsoft has announced.
If you don't already own them, the two games are both available to purchase digitally via the Xbox Store, with Outland costing £6.75 and Gunstar Heroes costing £3.39. Alternatively, if you already own them, you can get them downloading by heading to My Games & Apps.
Gunstar was one of my favourite games as a kid, and sees Gunstar Red & Blue shooting their way through various environments to recover gems that have brainwashed their family. It's better than that description gives it credit for, with manic action and an interesting elemental weapon mechanic.
The game was developed by Treasure, the same studio behind other critically-acclaimed classics Dynamite Headdy, Alien Soldier and Radiant Silvergun.
Outland, meanwhile, is a side-scrolling platformer developed by Resogun studio Housemarque.
