Want to get to work digging in Minecraft? Here are some of our favorite seeds for mining.
There's a lot of things to do in Minecraft, but the core of it is right there in the name -- mine! Here are some of our favorite seeds to get you started doing just that. Of course, you can dig anywhere you like, but these seeds give you a special incentive or make it interesting somehow. Take a look!
This seed starts you out right next to a fully developed village that's spitting distance from an awesome jungle temple with a ton of diamonds in it. If you dig down from the village, there are multiple linked underground ravines with tons of ore and other goodies.
This village, complete with beetroot, wheat, carrots, and potatoes, is a perfect staging ground for your exploration into the ravine and cave that are just to the northwest. There's tons of ore and interesting things to uncover here, and plenty of resources to get started with.
Not only do you start out next to a nice little village with lots of resources, but there's a perfect dungeon right beneath it for you to work toward. Just dig straight down from spawn and you can't miss it.
This is a golden opportunity to set up a legitimate mining town -- the ravine runs right through the middle of a village at spawn! You can set up some kind of scaffolding or dig a big pit, but this gets you started finding ore and coal right from the start.
This is a unique challenge for survival-oriented miners -- a survival island with just enough resources to get by and an iron mine in the center. There are plenty of places to expand to, or you can just create a little island kingdom from what you have!
For this seed, you start on a hill, and just down in the valley is the first ravine -- behind that is another one and a village, which also happens to have a skeleton spawner beneath it! There's plenty to be dug up, so get digging!
This seed starts you next to a village so you don't have to explore empty-handed and gives you an awesome natural cave to explore. Just walk in and start mining!
