A couple of years ago, a new title was announced for PC and Wii U that wanted to take a look in the rear view mirror at the golden racing games of yesteryear. Specifically, games that were released in the 1990s.
90s Arcade Racer was the name of the project and had an original release window of late 2013, though an Xbox One version was never confirmed. However, the game still hasn't materialized, but there's been a slight change of plan. Now, publisher Nicalis Inc are stating that the Pelikan13-developed title will be coming to Xbox One in the fall of 2016 and will arrive under a new moniker. Indeed, 90s Super GP has been born.
As you can see from the above footage (which was released in mid-2015 and showcases 60fps Wii U gameplay) the game looks to have captured the aesthetic perfectly, with blue skies, colourful paintjobs, and drifting galore.
90s Super GP is coming to Xbox One in fall 2016, and we can't wait to give it a spin.
