Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will feature a co-op Zombies mode, Activision has confirmed, making it the first Call of Duty developed by Infinity Ward to do so.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, the last game developed by Infinity Ward, featured an alien-blasting co-op mode called Extinction, while Modern Warfare 2 and 3 featured co-op side missions and a wave-based survival mode.
Infinity Warfare's Zombies mode won't, however, be set in the same universe as the rest of the game, instead taking place in its own setting.
The first image teasing the mode was also released during a Call of Duty livestream last night following the game's official announcement earlier that day. You can check that out below.
"Infinite Warfare will introduce an original cooperative Zombies mode that takes players on a wild ride through a new storyline with unique gameplay features and mechanics," says Activision. "Expect a lot of fun surprises when more details about the new zombies experience are announced later this year."
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 4. Modern Warfare Remastered, which is available exclusively with Infinite Warfare's special editions, is also expected to release the same day.
