Earlier this month, we asked you to predict the final Metascores for 30 of this summer's most notable releases, based only on viewing a trailer and reading a description for each film. Nearly 5,700 of you did just that, and the aggregate results of your predictions are below.
This is the 7th year we have asked for summer Metascore predictions, and some years turn out better than others. Last year wasn't one of the good ones: our users overestimated the scores for two-thirds of the films, and were off by an average of 11.4 points per movie. (View last year's results, or those for 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.) We'll post the final results of this year's predictions just after Labor Day weekend.
"Predicted" scores are the median responses from all valid predictions made for each film. The "Actual" scores will update as reviews are added for each film.
