Welcome to What Games Are You Playing This Weekend, our light-hearted feature where we talk about what games we'll be enjoying this weekend. This isn't all about us, though, as we'd love to hear from you in the comments below.
Now let's get into what games we'll be playing!
After a somewhat stressful week, I'll be blowing away demon scum as I finish off the DOOM campaign, followed by delving further into Not a Hero: Super Snazzy Edition, both for review next week. For some reason, I've had a hankering for Super Soccer on the SNES this week, so there's a good chance I'll get lost in the realms of dire SNES football titles for the remainder of the weekend, too...
This weekend I'm going to plan to play (because I think we all know that what we're going to play and what we actually end up playing are quite different) a few of the Xbox Ones Backwards Compatible titles. I've picked up South Park: The Stick of Truth, which so far has given me an achievement for not arguing when Cartman told me my name was "Douchebag", so I'm expecting big things. I also intend to pick up Dark Souls, since after completing Dark Souls III, I feel like I can conquer the world. Finally, I'm going to check out Call of Duty: Black Ops, as I have never finished its campaign.
Back in the modern era, a resurgent Destiny has gripped my interest again, with the new content giving it a shot in the arm, and I still haven't done the Kings Fall raid on hard. Other than that, the new Doom game should provide all the gory fun I need. The NG+ runthrough of Dark Souls III continues apace, and having just spanked Aldrich I'm going for the Lord of Hollows endings... Poor Anri.
After completing Uncharted 4, I decided it's time to play a good game. That's why I'll be playing Homefront: The Revolution. Just remember that I died for your sins, gamers.
