World of Tanks developers are commemorating the 100th anniversary of the first tank in war by holding series of events!
Wargaming, an online game developer and publisher, is holding various in-game events in World of Tanks to commemorate the history of tank development.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Mark I, the first tank deployed in the actual battle, Wargaming will hold many events through all platforms, progressively.
"Motherland Calls" is the first event, which is for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Until June 20th (UTC), players can participate in the operation "Fight for the Motherland", which consists of several new missions. Rewards will be given after each mission. And Motherland, the tank created based on T-54 prototype, will be given after completing every mission in the operation. Players with Motherland can take part in the next special operation, dubbed "Motherland Unleashed" and earn gold, double EXP, and special emblems.
Also, Wargaming has prepared two "Proving Grounds" campaigns for single players, which are PvE campaigns based on the historical battles of the Caucasus and Prokhorovka. Limited-time-only Inscriptions and Emblems will be rewarded after completing the events with Soviet tanks. Two new battlefields, "Ghost Town" and "Mountain Pass - Summer", will be added to the game, too.
