Atlus and ACE Team have announced that they're working on a sequel to the 2011 Xbox Live Arcade hit Rock of Ages, a game which featured heavy doses of tower defence and...well...quite a bit of rock rolling.
Rock of Ages II: Bigger and Boulder is the name of the new project and will feature similar gameplay as before, alongside an improved multiplayer experience that will allow for both co-op and competitive modes for up to four players. Unlike in the first title - where you built courses for your rocks to roll down that couldn't be interrupted - Rock of Ages II will feature tracks that can cross over. So in competitive play, the rock you roll could be taken out by a well-timed roll from an opponent.
More of the game will be shown off at E3 in a week or so and Atlus are looking to push this one down the hill towards the Xbox One by the end of the year, we're told.
