The Division's next update will make a major change to the way players go about extracting loot from the Dark Zone, introducing the option for rival players to cut down the extraction rope and steal the items for themselves.
The change will mean that the items' owner will need to keep an even closer eye on their loot than they already do and, Ubisoft says, should make extractions "even more intense than they were before". The current system simply requires that players stay alive while their loot is being extracted, before it's added to their stash in one of the game's Safe Houses.
The update, which arrives for free on PS4, Xbox One and PC next Tuesday, May 24, also introduces a new Incursion called 'Clear Sky', which tasks players with taking back an anti-air missile site and reclaim stolen supply drops, and a new feature called 'High-Value Targets'.
High-Value Targets are a list of daily and weekly targets that players will need to kill within a limited time and with a single attempt, and can be located once players complete the update's new Search and Destroy missions.
There are other things due to be included, too, including new 'Sealed Caches' that randomly dropped by named enemies in the Dark Zone and that contain a range of "mystery items".
