Xbox One's backwards compatibility is now able to offer Xbox 360 games which shipped on multiple discs, Major Nelson has revealed.
"I can confirm that the BC team has done work to support multi disc scenarios. Be sure to thank the BC engineers," wrote Major Nelson on Reddit.
The first multi-disc title is actually already available, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut, which launched over the weekend.
This now paves the way for many RPGs such as Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, FF13, Mass Effect 2/3 and other titles such as Dead Space 2 to be added to the service.
"We know fans were asking for this feature and our engineers worked hard developing a solution to enable it so we could further expand the titles included in Xbox One Backward Compatibility," a MS spokesperson told Polygon.
"We're continuing to listen to our fans on Xbox Feedback and work with our publishing partners to grow out library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles and will work to include more multi-disc games."
