The Xbox One S is more powerful than the original Xbox One console, Polygon reports. Rod Fergusson, head of Gears of War 4 studio, The Coalition, is said to to have told Polygon that the new slimline Xbox One S has 'additional raw GPU and CPU power'.
The report doesn't contain any direct quotes from Fergusson on the matter, but Fergusson is reported to have told the site that the extra power allows the development studio to 'reduce the frequency of frame rate or resolution penalties in more demanding sections of the game'.
It is not clear how much more power the Xbox One S has over the original Xbox One and how it will translate to notable differences in games. The Xbox One S also includes a 4K UHD Blu-ray drive and has HDR support.
