Microsoft's new Xbox One S console will be priced from $299 in the US, according to a report by rumour site Nerd Leaks.
The site tweeted the alleged price earlier today before referencing it in a report detailing Forza Horizon 3, the unannounced racer expected to be revealed at Microsoft's E3 press conference later this evening.
The first details on the new console leaked yesterday, revealing a new, slimmer design said to be 40% smaller than the current Xbox One, along with 4K video support and a "streamlined" controller.
Multiple SKUs, presumably featuring hard drives of various different sizes, are rumoured to be in production, although it isn't yet known when the console is due to launch.
The $299 price point matches the current price of the Xbox One, which was reduced to $299 in the US earlier this month. We don't yet know if the current model will receive a further price cut following the release of the Xbox One S.
Expect to hear much more on the console during Microsoft's press conference from 5:30pm BST tonight.
