Microsoft may have something planned for Crackdown 3 later today, judging by a mysterious teaser site that's appeared online.
The site (which was found by a member of the game's official forum) is hosted on Microsoft's server and features language linking it to the upcoming game, referring to the user as an "agent" and highlighting five different "mission dates". The first mission is due to start today, June 10, with weekly missions following until July 7.
On the bottom right-hand side there's also a line of code that states "BETA_INIT", possibly a reference to the game's upcoming multiplayer beta, while the numbers in the website's tab - 20, 15, 16, 19, 5, 3, 18, 5, 20 - correspond to the word 'TOPSECRET' when converted alphabetically.
Besides that, the site also states that the user has "earned $2/$10 toward your agency pension", suggesting that there may be some monetary reward for participating in whatever missions Microsoft has planned. Could users receive a $10 discount code for Crackdown 3 upon completing all five missions?
Alternatively, it may not have anything to do with Crackdown 3 at all and this could all be a red herring. But with E3 just around the corner, that seems a little unlikely, doesn't it?
Crackdown 3's multiplayer beta is due to begin later this year, with a full release to follow later.
