The Television Critics Association, comprised of over 220 professional TV critics and print journalists who cover the industry, took a break from their summer press tour on Saturday to present their 32nd Annual TCA Awards in a private ceremony hosted by Jane the Virgin's Jaime Camil.
FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson was the big winner on the evening, collecting three separate awards. In fact, critics appeared to favor new(er) programs in many of the categories, with awards going to first-year shows Full Frontal, Mr. Robot, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and second-year comedy Black-ish. However, longtime critic favorite The Americans did repeat as the top drama series.
